How will the Rose Festival be celebrated in 2024?

Chandigarh celebrated its 50th edition of the Rose Festival this year. The event was held at the Zakir Hussain Rose Garden in Sector 16 on Feb 25 and continued till Feb 27, 2022. The Punjab governor and UT administrator Banwarilal Purohit inaugurated the festival. After which the ceremony started with the beating of drums and releasing of the balloons. The band was playing, and folk dance performances were being held.

The municipal corporation went all out and decorated the Rose Garden as well as the Leisure Valley. Throughout three days of the Rose Festival Chandigarh, there were entertaining musical evenings for the visitors. Moreover, the flower arrangements were also displayed.

Puppet shows, classical and folk song events, dance performances, comic performances, and magic shows were also organized.

Apart from this, a lucky draw with 300 prizes was also held for those who submitted feedback on Swachh Survekshan 2022.
