After an early morning pick-up from your hotel spend a whole day at some of Goa’s best bird watching sites. A short drive and ferry crossing takes you onto Chorao Island to start the day with productive birding amidst mangroves, marshes, and sandbanks. Move on to nearby Mayem Lake, which along with its surrounding woodland provides habitat for a broad range of species. Stop here for breakfast before exploring this site for species such as Indian Peafowl, Crested Serpent Eagle, Ashy Prinia, Brown Fish Owl, Blue-bearded Bee-eater, Parakeets, and various waders.
Later after lunch, we move on to Carambolim, a large lily- covered lake home to large number of many species including Purple Swamphen, Bronze- winged and Pheasant-tailed Jacanas, Cotton Pygmy Goose, Lesser Whistling Duck, Asian Openbill, and numerous egrets. Other species such as paddy field Pipit and Brown Hawk Owl may be found in the surrounding fields and woodlands.
