What made it special for me was the sheer quietness. There was no one else around when I reached Deoria Tal. The lake was still, reflecting the surrounding peaks, and the air carried a peaceful hush that made the moment feel sacred.

How to Prepare for Winter Photography in Uttarakhand

Gear Must-Haves: A sturdy tripod, extra batteries (they drain faster in the cold!), a wide-angle lens, and a polarising filter for those snow shots.
Stay Warm: Layers, layers, and a whole lot of layers. Trust me, you’ll thank me when waiting for the sun to rise at sub-zero temperatures. And don’t forget gloves that let you adjust camera settings without freezing your fingers off!
