As per a poll conducted by Travel + Leisure – a travel magazine, Udaipur ranked third amongst the World’s 15 best cities. Also known as the ‘City of Lakes, the place showcases a perfect blend of culture, royalty, and scenic beauty.

The first and second positions were bragged by San Miguel de Allende and Oaxaca, both in Mexico. However, Udaipur beat many international destinations to earn the distinction.

Readers of Travel + Leisure were asked to rank their favorite urban destination. And based on the landmarks, sights, cuisine, shopping, friendliness, and overall value, Udaipur made it to the third position.

Leaving behind other major tourist destinations like Mumbai and Delhi, the ‘City of Maharanas’ was also selected as the World’s Best City earlier.
