“I know you would like some feedback from us now we have arrived safely home in UK.
Firstly thank you for arranging such a great time for us and everything worked like clockwork, perfect.
The transport provided was first class and in particular you should know how exceptionally pleased we were with the driver, Sudha Karan. We felt completely safe in his hands, he was always polite, informative and a gentleman. He kept himself and the car very clean and nothing was too much trouble.
As far as the company you used to meet us and provide the transport they were very friendly, on time and helpful both on arrival and departure.
I am not sure if you or they arranged the houseboat but whoever it was made a good choice, the houseboat was clean, the crew friendly and the food excellent!
The same applies to the guide, Saju, from Kestrel Adventures for the trek, he was very knowledgeable about the countryside, the plants, birds and animals and he made it all very interesting. Again the campsites were clean, we had a good tent and the food also excellent!!
On points of detail, we stopped the first night in Coimbatore and had to get up very early, 4am, the next morning to catch a train from there to Metupalyam before joining the toy train to Ooty. The train from Coimbatore to Metupalyam was unnecessary, it would have been much easier to go by car from the hotel to Metupalyam, a journey of less than 30 mins, and we could have stayed in bed much longer as the toy train left at 7am!
In Ooty the visit to the Botanical Gardens and Rose Garden was good but Ooty Lake is disappointing, noisy and untidy and not the romantic scene anticipated! You could well cut this out or just do a drive by!! Also whilst in Ooty we had determined that Murthi National Park was not open to visitors but we found an excellent alternative which is not advertised, even the tourist office in Ooty were not aware of it. It’s a full day out by car to Avalanchi where you can pick up National Forest transport for a trip through the forest and onto Bhavanti Lake, you might like to consider this for future visitors. A circular route brings you back to Ooty.
In Munnar, Day 7, we visited the National Park in the morning and were due to go on to the dam in the afternoon, we cancelled this as we had to pass the dam the next day anyway on the way to start our trek.
Finally you seem to generally be optimistic in your journey times, for example Munnar to Alleppey, given where the hotels are located, is more like 7 hours rather than 4 hours!Regarding the hotels they all met expectations with standards appropriate to their star rating. The outstanding hotel was the Old Harbour in Cochin, in a 300 year old Portuguese building which has been beautifully restored, it was of the highest standard with excellent food as well. Being sited right opposite the Chinese nets in Fort Cochin it is ideally located for the visitor unlike the Taj hotels which are a good way from the main attractions and quite isolated.
The Taj at Kumarakom was very good and in a perfect setting, they do need to do some work on their swimming pool however which has been neglected, certainly not 5*.
I cannot find anything in all the other hotels that would merit any criticism. What struck us most was the friendly staff that we encountered in every hotel we stayed at.
I hope you find these comments helpful and once again thanks to you and your staff at India Holidays, you lived up to the high standards we have learnt to expect from you.”

Hello Gagandeep,
I just wanted to write a quick thank you to you and the team at Indian Holiday – we have just returned from an amazing two week trip around India and we loved it! We have had no issues and everything was booked and organised as agreed and everything went smoothly. We have seen some amazing places and as a result we have some life long memories.
The staff have all been excellent – I would like to give a special mention to Mr Singh who was our driver from Delhi – Agra. He was such a nice guy and a true professional who gave everything 100%. Our guide in Agra around the Taj Mahal also gave us some amazing photos to treasure and our Delhi guide was super. There are others to mention including Faizan who made sure we got on the train OK in Agra for our journey to Varanasi – he clearly loves his job and told us that he hopes to one day be a tour guide – his English was excellent and in the short amount of time I met him I thought he would make an excellent guide. Everyone worked hard to ensure we had the best holiday – and we did!
Of course you were at the centre of the preparations and booking process and put together a great itinerary. Thank you also for arranging the flowers for my girlfriend in Goa – she loved them!
We hope to return to India one day and if we do I will let you know!
Once again, many thanks,
Tim”
All we’d say is, “Keep ’em Coming!”. We hope we can carry on whatever good we’ve been doing.
