Every year in August, a festival is celebrated by the local body and Govt. Department of Tripura, which is called “Neermahal Water Festival.” The festival is a three-day extravaganza of colorful cultural programs and events, and boat races are held during this festival.

Besides this, the Neermahal festival is also organized in December every year. Resonating cultural events are held amidst the cold atmosphere during the winter season.

The entire area is decorated by setting up arches, gates, and columns with a good number of banners, flex, and scrolls on display around the Neermahal area and in Agartala.

How To Reach Neermahal Palace

The nearest railway station to Neermahal Palace is Udaipur Railway Station in Tripura. Upon reaching the railway station, you can hire a taxi or a rickshaw to Melaghar and then to the palace. The whole journey will take about two hours. After reaching there, you must take a boat ride to the palace.
