6 Indian Hotels in the list of top 100 Hotels of the World

Travel + Leisure magazine has recently issued the list of 100 Best Hotels in the World and the good news is, 6 Indian Hotels make it to the list.  Based on a survey conducted among the magazine readers, the exclusive list has been published. Rated on their location, facilities, service, food, and overall value, the top 100 include city hotels, urban resorts, family-friendly lodgings, safari lodges, and heritage hotels. Six of India’s best have been listed among the top 100. These gems of prime locations, extravagant decor, and pleasant hospitality offer.

The Indian hotels on the list are, Oberoi Udaivilas in Udaipur (ranked at 84), Oberoi Amarvilas in Agra (ranked at 69), Oberoi Rajvilas in Jaipur (ranked at 68), Rambagh Palace, a Taj Hotel in Jaipur (on the 43rd position), Leela Palace in Udaipur (34th position) and Oberoi Vanyavilas in Ranthambhore (16th position). ‘Nihi Sumba Island’ an eco-friendly resort on the Indonesian island of Sumba tops the list.

Apart from the Top 100 Hotels list, Travel + Leisure presents lists such as ‘Top 15 Hotel Brands’ of the world. On this survey by readers, The Oberoi Hotels & Resorts got the 8th rank while The Leela Palaces, Hotels & Resorts was on the 10th spot.

The list of ‘The 10 Best City Hotels in Asia’ featured include two Indian hotels, the Oberoi and Taj Mahal Palace hotel. Both these luxury iconic hotels of Mumbai are rated as the 6th and 8th best city hotel in Asia respectively.

Lastly, the magazine’s list ‘The 10 Best Resort Hotels in Asia’, has reader’s choice vote for three resorts in Rajasthan. At the 9^th position is the lavish Taj Rambagh Palace, Jaipur. Unrivalled beauty of Leela Palace in Udaipur gets the 7th position. The Oberoi Vanyavilas in Ranthambhore gets the 3^rd rank and also the title of ‘Best Hotel in India’.
