As directed by the Prime Minister, Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation is about to introduce special Pilgrimage train from Kerala.
This train has been named Akhand Bharath Trail. The train will commence its journey on December 12th and will have its stoppage in Thiruvananthapuram, Kannur, Kozhikode, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Kollam, and Kottayam stations. After that, the train will head to Goa, Hyderabad, and Kolkata in eleven days.
Akhand Bharath Trail will have three classes: Sleeper, 3-tier Ac, and 2-tier Ac. In addition, coaches apart from accommodation have a pantry car and two power cars.
Every coach will have tour escorts and security personnel. As a whole, it will be able to accommodate 190 passengers in AC cars and 510 in sleeper class.
The public address is installed to announce important information and religious discourses during the trip. The tour packages include journey, meals, and excursion transportation on a seat in coach basis.
