Medak Church in Medak:

The Medak Church is one of the largest churches in the country. The construction of the Church began in the year 1914 and after 10 years it was consecrated during Christmas in 1924. Built out of solid white granite, the church is symbolic of the Gothic style of architecture. What is sure to attract your attention the most in the Medak Church are the stained glass windows. These fantastic windows narrate stories from the Bible. The pictures have been painted in bright hues and are sure to impress you. 

The ‘Divine Manifestation’, the ‘Crucifixion’ and the ‘Ascension’ have all been depicted in these wonderful windows.

St. Joseph’s Cathedral Hyderabad:

The façade of St. Joseph’s Cathedral in Hyderabad which reflects baroque architecture is very impressive. However the most distinguishing characteristic of this church which sets it apart from others is the Bell Tower. These five bells were imported from Italy. They are designed in such a fashion that when rung in sequence they play the hymn Ave Maria. Mir Osman Ali Khan, the Nizam of Hyderabad donated a beautiful painting by the reputed classical Spanish painter Murillo to this church. This painting of mother Mary and Jesus adorns the interiors of this church. A dazzlingly beautiful chandelier hanging from the ceiling above the main altar has also been gifted by him.

St. Mary’s Church Hyderabad:

Located at S.D. Road in Secunderabad, this is a church where mother Mary is worshipped with lot of devotion. The Bell Tower in the Church is a feature of Gothic Architecture.

Gundala Church in Vijaywada

 Way back in 1925, Rf. Arlati who was then the rector of St. Joseph’s Orphanage at Gundala installed a statue of Our Lady. In that very spot a Church was later built and consecrated in the year 1971. Popularly known as St. Mary’s Church, this church is located on top of a small hillock in Gundala, which lies on the eastern side of the city of Vijaywada. Every year the Feast of Our Lady of the Lord is held in the month of February and is attended by a large number of devotees. A fair is also organized on this occasion.
