Located in Kanha, Kanha Jungle Lodge was established in 1987 and was built with no interference to nature and the jungle and till date is managed with eco-friendly principles. The guests are welcomed to experience the flora and fauna of nature along with getting in-depth knowledge of the jungle and wildlife from the naturalist.
The lodge features a courtyard – an open center that is surrounded by the Sal forests with butterflies and chirping birds, Maidan – the lush green land owned by the lodge. The lodge also offers various activities like Nature Walks, Bird watching, Astronomy, Village safari, Elephant excursions, Solar cooking, Worm composting, Organic farming and Medical plant gardening.
A double bed or twin beds
The lodge offers 18 deluxe room, which features all modern facilities including a large double bed or twin beds are available on request, fully air conditioned, a ceiling fan, attached bathroom with running hot/cold water, comfortable furniture, bed side reading lights, a writing table, lounge chairs , luggage rack and complimentary hot water bottle in the night.
A king sized bed or twin beds
The lodge has recently introduced 2 new deluxe cottages that include all modern facilities like a comfortable king sized bed or twin beds, fully air conditioned, a ceiling fan, attached bathroom with running hot/cold water, comfortable décor, bed side reading lights, writing table, lounge chairs, luggage rack for extra storing space, complimentary hot water bottle in the night, private patio with a private sit out that overlooks the beautiful green Sal forest.
The Restaurant
The round large thatched drawing room and dining room serves Indian as well as Continental cuisines. The home made food makes the guests feel at home and extended their stay. The restaurant also offers a friendly sitting area for the guests to dine in the bustling Sal forest. Guests can also pass their time by borrowing a few books from the library and reading it in the drawing room. You can pick from the Courtyard or from the Maidan.
